The clinic has strong foundation and experience within the delivery of health care.

Charlotte Tedds

Prior to training to be a podiatrist Charlotte worked as a Physiotherapy assistant in the NHS in the UK. She then graduated in Podiatry at the University of Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in 2002. Charlotte started work in the NHS as a community podiatrist and then spent the next 7 years developing her skills within the biomechanics team working with sports injuries, chronic pain and children. She then emigrated to Western Australia with her family in 2008. She initially worked for 2 years in private practices in Mandurah and Rockingham and 5 years self employed within the Pinjarra Doctors clinic in Pinjarra.

Charlotte opened and operated Podiatry Wise clinic for 6 years but early 2020 felt the draw to be ‘present’ for her growing family the greater pull, the decision to downsize and relocate has allowed an organic learning space.

Charlotte holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Podiatry, is a certified Barefoot Rehab Specialist® and Roll Model® Practitioner.  She has studied structural integration therapy with Anatomy Trains®, Joint mobilisations, Acupuncture and Yin Yoga. Her most recently training has been in trauma informed movement and The Skill of Stress Breathwork.

Acknowledging the power of the human nervous system through the work of Dr Steven Porges, Dr Peter Levine and Dr Bessel van der Kolk and honouring the ever-increasing layers of trauma that encompasses our lives, Charlotte now approaches her work through a mindful lens.  The goal, to allow a safe space for the unconscious nervous system to relax and allow the offered rehab and recovery to be heard and hopefully experienced.

Having enjoyed success as a national swimmer she understands how the mind and body work closely for optimal performance.  With movement longevity now the goal she now finds enjoyment exploring and practicing a variety of body weight and movement practices included Animal Flow®, Yoga, Functional Range Conditioning® & Barefoot Dynamic training.

Charlotte is currently working through a RYT 500 hour Yoga Teacher training and EBFA® Interoception Performance Specialist training with the intention to develop a movement practice that harnesses and opens the body’s innate healing capacity with a ground up approach.
