Lower back pain can often be related to pelvic and lower limb dysfunction.
If at any time the foot, ankle, knee or hips become weak and unstable, poor movement patterns begin and the muscles in the lower back can begin to ache. We assess pelvic and lower limb dysfunction by identifying the abnormal motion, muscle imbalances and gait pattern that cause or may lead to injury.
Once we have found the reasons for why the injury has occurred we will set up a treatment plan that incorporates a variety of modalities to reduce the tissues being stressed. These may include dry needling, acupuncture, therapeutic laser, foot and ankle mobilisation, orthotic and footwear therapy. We are able to then utilise the latest evidenced based barefoot rehabilitation techniques to help you get stability back into your movements.
